A Look into our Spanish Cinema Class
By: Sarah Guralnick
Creativity is a powerful tool, having the ability to transform real-life events into something completely different or simply enhance them. Magic and fantasy have the potential to expose details and experiences that may be hidden in reality. In these first two stories, students incorporate fiction into the tragic stories of the Fukushima, Japan nuclear disaster and the Ukraine and Russia War.
After these stories, accompanied by a beautiful piece of artwork by Spanish teacher and World Languages Department Chair Ernesto Sanchez, is a song by a deceased Argentine composer. Atahualpa Yupanqui is a critical contributor to Argentine folk music, influencing generations of music and poetry.
